Ralph Joeckel received his engineering training at University of California at Los Angeles. He started his engineering career in 1950 and started the firm of Johnson, Joeckel, Bartley and Associates in 1966. In 1974, the firm name was changed to JBA Consulting Engineers. Mr. Joeckel has since served as principal mechanical/electrical engineer and principal-in-charge of an extremely wide variety of major projects. Such projects include several high schools in the Las Vegas area, including but not limited to Eldorado High School, Ranch High School, Las Vegas High School, Silverado High School, Centennial High School and many others. Other projects include major hotel/casinos including, but not limited to, Aladdin Hotel & Casino (original tower and casino), Stardust Hotel & Casino, Desert Inn County Club Remodel, Sam's Town Hotel & Casino. Mr. Joeckel has been responsible for and served as both principal-in-charge as will as the principal mechanical and/or electrical engineer for many church projects including most southern Nevada Latter Day Saints (LDS) ward locations, and Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition, Mr. Joeckel has been responsible for and served as both principal-in-charge as well as the principal mechanical and/or electrical engineer for many government projects, airport projects as will as hospitals and healthcare facilities. Such projects include the Clark County Detention Center, Clark County Government Center, McCarran International Airport Concourses A & B gates, ticketing and central plant, St. Rose DeLima Hospital surgery addition and emergency addition, University Medical Center 5 story addition.
Mr. Joeckel is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and is a past president of the Southern Nevada Chapter.
